I just found out this afternoon that both Autumn, Dolly Sods and November, Adkins Arboretum were selected for the national juried exhibition, Focal Point: Fine Art & Creative Photography at Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis.
Autumn, Dolly Sods was shot with my iPhone during an October backpacking trip to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. Part of the Monongahela National Forest, Dolly Sods is the highest plateau of its kind east of the Mississippi. With its unique ecosystem, it is a taste of the Canadian high country in West Virginia.
Autumn was processed entirely on my iPhone using the apps Autostitch, Filterstorm and Photo Forge. The final image is 10 x 6″ and printed on Hahnemuhle paper using archival pigment.
The exhibit will open May 25th and run until June 16th, with a reception on Sunday, June 3rd from 3-6PM. For additional information, visit http://www.mdfedart.com.
