On Thursday, I’m driving down to the Eastern Shore to drop off March, which will be included in the 14th annual Art Competition at Adkins Arboretum. The theme of the competition—Discovering the Native Landscapes of Maryland’s Eastern Shore—celebrates the Arboretum’s mission of conservation. The exhibit will open February 4th and will run through March 29th with a reception on Saturday, February 16th from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the Adkins Arboretum website, or call 410-634-2847.
March was shot with my iPhone on a return trip from the Eastern Shore of Maryland last spring. As soon as I saw two skeleton trees in a vast field of green, I was inspired to stop the car and trudge through the field to get a closer look. March was processed on my iPhone using the apps FilterStorm, PhotoForge, and Modern Grunge.
