January, Nancy’s Meadow

  1. The cold, sleeping earth. Flurries pull my mind into the void. Beyond the trees blue fills an eternity. Light fills emptiness. Earth stabilizes my walk as the ground sings the wind. Is the snow warm? Does the pine tree offer consolation? When spring arrives and air becomes warm will I feel alone? Will I take joy in silence?
