NEXT: New Photographic Visions

On Friday, November 7th, NEXT: New Photographic Visions will open at Castell Photography Gallery in Asheville, NC. I’m honored that Late Afternoon, Kent Narrows, will be among 42 pieces from 32 artists to be included in this international juried exhibition of contemporary photo-based works. The exhibition was curated by the influential independent curator and writer, Elizabeth Avedon. The exhibit will be on view from November 7-December 20, 2014, with an  opening reception on Friday, November 7th from 6 to 8 p.m.

Late Afternoon, Kent Narrows was photographed as I was walking along the Cross Island Trail in Kent Narrows on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Walking is such a part of my creative process, and allows me to see and feel the nuances of space, light and time. Late Afternoon, Kent Narrows was captured with my favorite camera-replacement app, Pro Camera 8, and processed with the apps Mextures and FX PhotoStudio.
