I’m very honored that The High Lake, Dusy Basin and Winter Birch have been selected for this year’s Focal Point: Creative and Fine Art Photography juried exhibition at Maryland Federation of Art. The exhibition is currently on view at the Circle Gallery in Annapolis from January 29-February 27, with a reception on Sunday, February 14 from 3-5pm. Can’t make the exhibit? The High Lake Dusy Basin was photographed during my August 2015 trip to the High Sierras in California. One of the highlights of the trip was our last night at Dusy Basin. I will never forget the incredible late day light at Dusy Basin, that was enhanced by the haze of nearby fires. It was like being on another planet.
The High Lake, Dusy Basin was photographed on an iPhone 6 with my favorite camera-replacement app ProCamera + HDR. It was processed with the apps AutoStitch, SnapSeed, Mextures and ModernGrunge. The original fine-art print is 33×12″, and was printed using archival pigments on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper.
