I’m very honored that Resurrection was selected for inclusion in the 14th annual American Landscapes juried exhibition at Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis, MD. The exhibit is on view from August 14-September 13, with a reception on Sunday, August 23 from 3-5pm. The exhibit features works from 79 artists from around the U.S., and was juried by John Morrell, Associate Professor of Painting and Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at Georgetown University.
Resurrection was photographed in April while walking along one of my favorite hiking trails at Adkins Arboretum on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I was drawn to the contrast between the ghostly dead tree and the awakening of the surrounding woods. I shot Resurrection with my favorite camera-replacement app, Pro Camera 8. Post-processing was done with the apps, AutoStitch, Snapseed, Mextures and ModernGrunge. The archival pigment print was printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper, and is 38 x 17″.
